HOLIDAY CROP

Greetings.  Every year a group of my scrappy friends get together for a Holiday Crop.  This year we held it at the Hotel Tucson City Center.  It was a good sized Hospitality room with two ajoining bedrooms.  Myself and my friend Kharmyn always prepare a holiday ham dinner with all the trimmings.  Everyone is to design a card and bring enough stuff for everyone else to make the same card.  We also have to make a handmade gift to exchange.  We started at 1 p.m. on Saturday and ended at noon on Sunday.  I had a great time and got a jump on my Christmas cards.  So here are the cards that I made from the samples and my hand made gift.  I painted some wood ornaments from Michaels and then used one of the $1.50 recipe boxes to act as a storage for them.  Can you guess which card I designed?  I will post it by itself next posting.   Peace out.

Happy Black Friday

Happy Black Friday.  Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.  Boy, it seems that Black Friday was more important than the holiday this year.  All of the stores trying to open before others which cut Thanksgiving short for those who had to go into work.  My sister had to leave early from my moms and she was not happy.

Ok on to my post for today.  I created two Christmas cards using images by Robert Jackson http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/. These are cards someone ordered.  The one with the snowman has a little wobble snowman on it that I diecut and colored.  Thanks for coming by and have a blessed day. Peace out

Happy Birthday Cynthia

Well, November 21st is a very sweet lady's birthday that I know over at Scraps of Color.  I had the pleasure of meeting her recently in Las Vegas at the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo.  We spent a couple of days hanging out  together and had a wonderful time. After the Expo we went to Viva Las Vegas Stamps and bought some not so usual stamps.   I used one of the stamps that she bought to make this card for her.  I really liked it and hope she will too.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY CYNTHIA.  Thanks for stopping in and please come again.

HOLIDAY GIRLS GONE WILD

These aren't for everybody, but surely we all have a crazy friend that would find these amusing.  I like to send them to my open minded friends and my nieces get a kick out of them.

The inside of the first one says "So what's it been this year, Naughty or Nice?"  The other one says " Meet me under the misletoe"  Thanks.

Time For the Holidays

Happy Monday everyone.  Looks like Christmas is just around the corner.  If you are like me, you need at least a month and a half to get stuff done.  I committed to making 20 Holiday cards for someone else so I have not started my own.  I will do that starting this week since I finished hers over the weekend at a crop.   She did not want all the same so I did 4 of each.  Here are the first two.  The angel is by Scrapbook Stamp Society and the mother and child is by Robert Jackson http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/.  Thanks for stoppng by.

Waterfall card

Hey people, hope everyone is looking forward to a fun crafty weekend.  Over at Scraps of Color last nite for Friday Nite Chat, we were ask to watch a tutorial on waterfall cards and create one..  I had been wanting to do one of these for sometime now so I was glad it was one of our challeges.  It appeared difficult at first but once I got going, it was very easy and fun to do.  If you want to try something different goggle waterfall cards and give it a try.  Here's my first attempt.  Hope you like it.

ICongrats and a Holiday Card

Here are a couple of cards I want to share with you.  The first one is a card I made for my niece.  She was working for Ophra but recently got a job as an assistant director on the Steve Harvey Show.  I am so proud of this young lady.  I am posting this on in the Robert Jackson Digi Group on Scraps of Color http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/.  The image is by

http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/.  Check him out for some really fun images.

The other card is for http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/cfc/forum/topics/creative-freebie-challenge.  I was given 2 images but only had time to do one this time.  This image is drawn by Sandi Hugget.  Once again I thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day.

Jackson's Digal Expressions Altered Art

Over at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/ there is an Altered Art Challenge going on.  We were required to use any empty container and alter it. I chose to use and empty chip container and make a Holiday centerpiece.  I headed to my local Dollar tree and picked up everything I need to complete the arrangement for this project.  I used some print paper I had in my stash and some other emblishments I found around the house.  I used one of Roberts images called "Around the tree" and colored it with copic markers.  I had fun playing with this project and hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for stopping by and if you get a chance go check out Jackson's Digital Expressions.

MORE CARDS FOR SMILES

I made a couple of more Cards for Smiles today.  It is really hard making sure your sentiments are appropriate for these terminally ill people.  Sometimes the images are real cute but the right sentiment is at a loss.  The cute giraffe is by Sherri Baldy http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/index.php and it was easy as I could not resist that long neck.  The inside just says "Because I really like you".  The other image is a House Mouse of course called Lemon lips.  I got this stamp from one of my SOC sisters who just does not like critters.  Anyway enjoy and have a very blessed day.

CARDS FOR SMILES

Hi Everyone and thank you all for the sweet words you left to help heal my heart.  I appreciate the embrace of kindness.  With that said, let's move forward.  I wanted to do something happy this week so I started working on some "Cards for Smiles"  This is something one of the ladies over at Scraps of colors is doing for patients and caregivers at the Hope Lodge in Kansas City.  This is a place for people with uncertain futures ging through cancer treatment.  Here are three of the cards I made.  Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend. Peace out
