WINE AND DINE HOLIDAY CROP

Hello people.  I know you did not miss me, but I missed you really :)  Life has been extremely busy lately.   No matter what, I try to always find time for me.  I have a passion for crafting and it soothes my soul.  I started a craft group about 18 years ago or so called Wine and Dine Scrappers.  I was scrap booking then.  Lots of different ladies over the years but 5 of us remain the same and are now the Original Wine and Dine Crafters.  We now are into card making and altered art.  Every year we put on a holiday crop that has a theme.  This year was Speakeasy.  Just want to share the decorations I made, my card swap, and for the gift exchange we were to alter cigar boxes. Hope I will be able to post again real soon.  Thanks for stopping in.

ALTERED CIGAR BOX SWAP

Hi folks, just wanted to share a swap I did over at Scraps of Color.  It was an altered cigar box swap.  I had several sitting around that I got from my friend Karen a while back.  Let me tell you. I had so much fun creating this for my swap partner I had to start another one.  It is all color coordinated including the handmade embellishments I put inside.  Be inspired, because it sure got me creating nothing into something.  Later

BIRTHDAY CARDS

Well I am back so soon this time.  I have been in a coloring, card making mood lately and just want to make pretty cards.  I tend to make a lot of girly birthday cards because everybody has a birthday and we all want to feel special.  Besides that, I love bright colors and bling.  Here are a couple of cards I made today.  Have a great night and a better tomorrow.

CUTE AS A BUTTON

Hello friends.  I know I continue to be a slacker, but I am still crafting whenever I get the chance.  The last few months have been very busy and stressful but God is always good.  Found some really cute images that I fell in love with and had to have.  I was able to color them while a friend was visiting from Wisconsin and make cards with them.  Thanks for looking

PRIMA DOLL SWAP

Hey folks, back again to share a little something from the Prima Doll with a twist swap over at Scraps of Color.  I had to do two to the same person.  I created an altered journal and a tag.  Since Black Panther is all the rage, I choose to use that as my theme.  I was inspired by all the beautiful women in this movie.  Hope you enjoy my share as much as I did making it.  Peace

NEW AFRICAN AMERICAN STAMPS BY RUBBERNECKER

Good morning and greetings  to all.  Last weekend I rode up to Mesa, AZ to the Rubber Stamp show at the Mesa Convention Center.  It was kinda small and lacking some of the booths we use to see.  However, we ran into lots of friends from Tucson and the Phoenix area which turned out to be very enjoyable.  The Rubbernecker booth was my favorite as he had a  lot of new African American stamps.  I could not wait to play with them.  I used Zari and Nessa to create some quick cards. The two bottom cards are both Nessa. Thanks for stopping in and Happy crafting.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Hello and welcome back to my blog.  Today I want to share a couple of projects that were created to celebrate Black History month..  First is a scrapbook layout I did for a challenge over at Scraps of Color hosted by Princess http://papercraftingparadise.blogspot.com/.  Every year she hosts a Black History Bingo challenge.  I don't scrapbook much, but I wanted to support the challenge.  My second project is an altered wood box that I painted and added art and embellished.  In honor of Black History month, I will be giving this away on Facebook.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create something yourself today.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS SWAP

Hello peeps, just me popping in to share what I made for my swap partner over at Scraps of Color.  Princess Jones (Paper Craftingparadise) hosted a Random Acts of Kindness swap where we were paired off and had to make a hand made gift along with some other goodies to send our partner.  I was paired with Shirley Milsapp (Crafty Gardens) who stated she liked the colors black, blues and gold.  I opted to make her something she could hang in her craft room.  I started with a wood frame from the 99 cent store and painted it black.  Then I chose an image from the Prima Princess coloring book which had dreads since Shirley wears her hair in a similar style.  Finished it of with her initial, flowers. bling and some gold leaves.  I really enjoyed making this for her as she is such a caring and giving person.  She loved it and I hope you will too.  Peace

AN ORDER FROM THE NETHERLANDS

Good morning friends.  Gonna be a beautiful day here in Tucson, AZ.  Of course most days are as we have seen very little winter.  Just want to share a few cards I created for a lady that lives in the Netherlands.  We met online through Scraps of Color and Facebook.  She had contacted me on FB about 9 or 10 months ago.  She stated she was a fan of my work (blushing).  We spoke on the phone as if we were long lost friends.  So glad we met, as she is a wonderful person.  She is a card maker herself, but said she had lost her mojo.  I was happy to help out with several cards she wanted.  I also made some Valentine frame cards for my nieces.  Thank you for stopping by.

NEW YEARS

Hello and welcome to 2018.  This year I decided to stay in with my sister and craft.  Did not think I would miss anything if I did not go out since I don't do it on a regular anyway.  We decided to use a new die that I had got at the Bluemoon closing sale.  It is a picture frame that you can embellish however you choose.  We also had a little spread of food to eat and some Martini and Rossi Spumante to bring in the new year.  I hope that you all did something fun or that you love to bring in your New Year also.
