EMPIRE CHALLENGE #2 ANDRE

Hey folks I am so loving this Empire relay challenge over at Scraps of Color.  We started out with 37 folks playing and lost 7 last nite.  If you do not met the requirements or do not post on time, you are out.  I say don't procrastinate, just do it then you don't have to burn the candle on the last nite.  :)  Any way, the next character is the oldest Lyon son Andre.  Requirements are to have a die cut and a spiritual or encouraging sentiment on the front of the project.  Easy right?  I chose to use another one of Robert Jackson images to complete my card.  I was thinking the scenes when he was at church and the choir was there.  I really am having too much fun with this challenge.  Thank you for stopping  by and please come again.

EMPIRE TAKE OVER CHALLENGE

Hello and TGIF people. How many of you watched the finale of Empire this week?  Well, you are not alone, for 17.6 million people watched this fast rising series final show for the season.  I personally could not get enough of it and especially Cookie.  Since we will be waiting (maybe not patiently) for the next season, I am doing a Take over Challenge over at Scraps of Color using images by the talented Robert Jackson (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com).  This is a relay challenge and each week will be a new character.  The first image is none other than Anika AKA Kitty Boo Boo.  I know I am going to enjoy each and every character.  Just for the record I love Cookie and my fav  son is Jamal.  Please check back each week to see who is next.  Thanks and have a great weekend.

AN ORDER OF 5

Hey there crafty people, just thought I would post these 5 cards I just made for a customer.  She requested Three Sympathy cards and two Birthday cards.  I love that I am able to just run with the few requirements she wants such as color etc. and just do my thing after that.  I really enjoy making cards and never have a plan when I start.  My inspiration comes after I pick my papers and images.  I hope she will be as pleased as I am.

Thanks for blessing my blog and see you soon.

NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH CONTINUES

Hi, back again with some of the cards I have been making to celebrate National Craft month.  I did 3 birthday cards and one Thank you.  The nurse card was for a friend named JOY who was thrilled with it.  I love to have fun with Big girl cards so I thought the Megan Trainer song would be appropriate for "All about the Bass" birthday card.  I love having a thought in mind when I go to make a card for a particular person.  At any rate I hope you enjoy and will be inspired.  Peace

It's National Craft Month

Hello and welcome to my blog everyone.  Did you know that it is National Craft Month?  Well, if you didn't, now you do.  It gives us craft heads an excuse to make more projects.  For me it is  craft month every day since I retired, but just for the game sake I will pretend I am celebrating the holiday.  My two projects for today are a promised "Pay it Forward" that I posted on FB.  Only requirement was to post what I give you and my blog address.  That sounds easy enough, but some folks take the gift and that is it.  LOL oh well I can live with that.  I still enjoy making the gifts.  I made a monogram note pad for this "Pay it Forward" using one of the new Prima dolls called Jeanne. I will be entering this into http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/2015/02/march-challenge-2015.html .  It is an anything goes challenge.
Now for my next project, I had fun doing this today.  I saw on FB that a crafty person I know from SOC was requesting and hoping to get 85 birthday cards for her grandmother's 85th birthday.  She was wanting to get some from each state.  I took it literally and made what I felt was a true to the Old West card.  It is a pocket card and has an insert with a message and on the back I showed who I was with cowboy boots and all.  Yep, I'm a little bit of country.  I used distressed inks to create the background, my silhouette cute the Arizona and the image is one by Robert Jackson.
Well, that is it for now.  Wishing you Happy Crafting all month long.
