BIRTHDAY CARD ORDER

Got a request for 4 birthday cards last week.  I think I spent more time looking for the right images than I did making them.  Sometimes it is a challenge when you do not know the persons you are creating for.  Thank God the lady gave me a few ideas.  Got them all done in a few days and put them in the mail to Tempe, AZ yesterday.  Today she told me she had already got them.  I wanted to make sure she got them for the first birthday which is on 11/8.

ALL ABOUT THE DOG IN ME

Good Tuesday morning people.  It sure is cold today here in Tucson.  I know it is colder elsewhere, but we are wimps here if the weather gets below 50.   Anyway, I played last night with something a bit light hearted as I was feeling some kinda way about 2020. It has been a really horrible year.  I love lap dogs and they always make me smile. I will carry on, have fun and enjoy life anyway.

A THANK YOU

Last week a beautiful lady that I have not actually met, but has quick become a wonderful friend, sent me the video "A ballerina's tale" via Amazon.  I met her because she had received a card that I made from one of her friends.  She contacted me using my email address and we have been in contact ever since.  I love people that see beauty in art, no matter what kind.  I had to make her a card of thanks.  It had to be a ballerina of course.  By the way this movie is the story of Misty Copeland and it is very interesting.

I AM BACK

Hello my friends, it seems like a mighty long time since I posted on my blog.  It really has been.  Just trying  to deal with this pandemic, getting my daughter situated and also getting my mom in a safe place took a tole on me.  Hopefully with all this time on my side now I can make regular posts.    What I am posting today is what I did yesterday.  A friend and I decided to keep each other company for the day and crafted from 1:30 in the afternoon til midnight.  We stopped to have some dinner and resumed our craziness.  Another friend joined us for the last 3 hours.  Anyway, find happiness and creativeness where ever you can these days.  Stay blessed.

CARDS FOR THE FUN OF IT

Hello friends, I guess since I do not have FB I am making more cards and a plus is that I am posting on this blog.  That should not be an excuse, but it is a good one for me right now.  I created these three cards during a vitural crop with my Scraps of Color Friends group last Thursday.  As you see, I love doing cards with women.  Bling is my next best friend.  Thanks for stopping by and see you next post.

Locked out of Facebook

Hello people, I am very very sad that I got locked out of Facebook.  I have a lot of posts and groups that I really miss and I miss seeing what is going on with my friends.  There is so much going on in the world right now with the virus, the unjust treatment of blacks, hatred in the world and here in Tucson there is a fire burning out of control.  2020 has sucked so far and not having my lifeline (FB) makes it worst.  Ok. I am done bitching and decided to just showcase my creative energy right here on my blog.  I do two virtual crops each week, one with my regular Wednesday Card Divas from Tucson and another with some Scraps of Color friends from Chicago, Memphis, Texas, Alabama, Michigan and Arizona. Here is what I did on Wednesday and I will post Thursday later.  Stay safe.

AWESOME

Greetings everyone.  Well today is the last day of National Craft Month.  I committed to make a project a day for the month and only missed the first few days.  It has been fun since we are kinda on lock down and it gave me some purpose.  You all know my favorite kinda card is Afrocentric so I wanted to finish off the month with just that.  Hope you like it and find some inspiration in it.  Love you all and be safe.
