SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE

Today I just want to share a photo of my best friend.  His name is Malik but I always called him handsome.  He has lived with diabetis for 3 years and I have been the best care giver ever.  While I was away this weekend, he had a seizure and just was not himself.  The vet told me I could leave him there and he could get IV's and phenabarbital.  I told her no, I wanted to take him home one last time.  Unfortunately he did not do well and I did not want him to suffer.  My mom, daughter and sister came with me to say our goodbyes.  This dog has been the best companion to me ever.  I loved him dearly but I left him in Gods care.  May you rest in peace my love.

Outlawz Freebie Challenge

I have been slacking with the posting lately.  Could be because I am so excited about leaving for Las Vegas on Friday to go to the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo.  While there I hope to meet up with some of my Scraps of Color sisters, Roz Edwards, Linda Huffman, Cynthia Avent from New Mexico and Karen Atkinson will be there from Phoenix, AZ also.  The guy from Viva Las Vegas stamps agreed to open shop for us on Saturday since we are coming from out of town.  I am so excited for this get away.
Enough about me and my excitement.  I completed this freebie image tonite for Outlawz. http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/cfc.  They offer up 2 freebies every couple of weeks and all you have to do is complete one to get the next ones.  Thanks for stopping by and I will probably not post again till the first of next month. Peace out and God Bless.

MOO'VED

I went to an all day crop on this past Saturday and as usual I did not get as much done as I had hoped to.  I did finish my cards for soldiers and my Desert Diva card swap cards.  Another card I made was with a really cute Scrappin' Cow that my sister gave me.  I love goofy funny images that make me smile or laugh.   I hope she brings a smile to your face too.  I am entering this in Mema's Animals gone Wild Challenge http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/p/current-challenge.html.  Have a wonderful week.  Peace out.

Hi ya'll.  I know it has been a few days, but I been busy.  It is my intention to never go more than 2 or 3 days without updating, but LIFE happens.  I hate the days I can not do something crafty if just color an image.  Anyway, I was at SOC yesterday and saw that one of my sisters there had just been  diagnosed with Breast Cancer and will be going in for surgery next week.  I wanted to send her a card just to let her know I was thinking about her.  I found an old Rubbernecker stamp that was  a little girlish but very cute and had a cute sentiment.  I wanted to make it anyway so I did.  Hope you like it too.

My other project for today is the last of the Robert Jackson Girlfriends Challenge over at Scraps of Color.  I had completed one, but the rules were that it had to have a die cut and some pink on the card which I did not do the first time.  I chose to do a center step card which I am really liking these days.  Robert did an excellent job on drawing Joan Clayton.  Check him out http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/.  Thanks for stopping by and please come back.

Just After Midnight

Good morning all my crafty friends.  It is just after midnight in Tucson, AZ and I am wide awake and wanting to make a birthday card for one of my friends.  I know that if I do, I will be a mess tomorrow and non productive.  Maybe, I can just wait till in the morning to do that card.  In the meantime, here is what I did yesterday.  I saw Outlawz was having a Sarcastic Greetings Challenge, http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/birthdaycard/forum/topics/greetings-challenge-october-15, and of course I could not resist being quirky.  I have a wierd since of humor and strangely I like it. :)  It is not too much is it?

Ok so enough for my stab at being funny.  I also did 2 ATC's to enter into Brown Sugar's Challenge (http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/) Peace out.

BC Use your Stash Challenge and more

Good morning and I hope everyone is having a Blessed Sunday.  As for me I am whooped.  Stayed up too late and then could not sleep well.  Hope I can catch a little nap later.  Enough chit chatting and on to the projects.  This first project is one I did for SOC.  The challenge was to use your stash to create a project using some things listed.  I chose to do a layout of the last scrap party for my friend Tonya Swanson.  May she rest in peace.  I am entering it in http://www.linkupforpink.com/.

The next one I was so pleased with and had intended to enter it into http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/p/current-challenge.html just to realize I was a day late.  Oh well, that is what I get for over extending myself.
And my final project is another one for Scraps of Color (SOC)  It is for the Robert Jackson Digi Group Girlfriends Relay Challenge http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/  If you have not followed this one, it was a 5 part challenge involving all the 5 main characters in the tv show Girlfriends which is no longer airing. Once again, thanks for taking the time to check me out.

For my project, I chose to do a two page layout since I rarely do layouts these days.  This project  reflects the friendships I have made while being a part of SOC.  I met some wonderful women while visiting my brother in Chicago.  They are the Windy City Scrappers of SOC.  I used paper from Paper Pizazz and Me and My Big Idea.  Bling and embellies from Micheal's and MS border punch.
I will be giving blog candy (2 Robert Jackson digis) to one lucky person who leaves me a comment.  Thank you for stopping by and please come by again.

Cards made at crop

Hello and Happy Oct 1.  Just wanted to share a couple more cards I made at my sisters crop on this past Saturday.  The first one is a cute image from "I brake for stamps".  A couple of my friends just made her and I thought she was so cute I had to do her also.

The second one is an image from Kenny K.  Isn't she cute?  The stick pin and flower  were from a RAK (random act of Kindness) I got from one of my SOC sisters Nedine.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget that October is Breast Cancer month and Oct 6 is national card making day.  I usually like to get together with a friend or two and make cards for Operation Write Home.  These are cards for the soldiers to send to thier family and friends.  Peace out
