Still trying to get cards out

Hi folks, I am still trying to get some cards out before it gets to late.  I guess today is the last day and anyone who did not get one will get a Happy New Year card.  Last night I felt well enough to sit and make 8 cards with the same pieces of paper.  This was relaxing and fun.  I'd have to say I got my scrap on and enjoyed it. Here are a few of them.  You all have a wonderful Christmas Holiday.

Robert Jackson Color/Inspiration Challenge

Hello and Happy Holidays everyone.  Sorry I have been MIA, but it has been a very busy December for me.  After my moms wonderful birthday, I was busy making 50 Christmas cards with some of my scrappy friends.  We took these along with candy canes and cookies to the Senior Center my mom attends on Tuesday.  Wednesday I volunteered to entertain the children of Police Officers while they had their holiday party.  Now I have a darn head cold I need to work on.  Anyway, I am glad I can finally update my post so folks will not get bored looking at the same old thing.  Over at Scraps of Color their is a Robert Jackson color/inspiration challenge going on until 12/22.  I made one card a Thank you for a friends mother who is just too kind to me.  She totally believes in Random acts of kindness.  I thank you for blessing my blog and if I do not get back here before Christmas, have a good one.  Oh I apologize for my photos.  I got a new scanner and it is not as clear as my last one.

CELEBRATING MOM'S 85TH

Hi everyone, just me back with what I have been doing this last week.  My mother's birthday is December 8th (so is Tiare Classygirl Smith's).  Got a big surprise going for her.  My older step brother and sister are coming in from California tomorrow along with my baby brother from Chicago and his daughter from Atlanta.  Friday night my sister in law, niece, nephew and niece's boyfriend are in from Chicago. My brother Robert and his wife Edith get in from LA near midnight.   The surprise was gonna be a dinner on Saturday, but since everyone will be here, we are gonna start Thursday. Her biggest surprise will be her brother and sister coming in on Saturday from Los Angeles.  I love family reunions however I can get them.
Ok, so on to my projects.  I wanted to make a "thank you" for those who attended my moms celebration.  I came up with this paper bag card.  It has a pocket on the left side which I am gonna insert a wallet size photo of my mom.  There is also a tag inside the right pocket of the paper bag Thanking everyone for coming.  25 of these were made with a image of her by Robert Jackson.

Of course I had to make my card to her with this same image of her.  I cut the base of my card with my Silhouette.  A matching envelope was made with my Envelope punch board.  Sending a shout out to all my SOC sistahs and Tucson scrap buddies who were kind enough to send my mom cards.  Thank you all and know you are appreciated.

Cards for G

Boy, I have been extremely busy these last couple of weeks.  Last week the annual Holiday Crop and this week and am busy making something for my mom's85th birthday.  I could not get to everything I wanted or had to do, but I did take some time to make a couple of cards for a lady who requested and Anniversary card and a birthday card for her mom.  She did request another one, but I think I am over extended this week.  Got family coming in for mom's birthday and I can not let them catch me with my living room looking like a craft room.  Hopefully it will be back in order before they get here.  You all have a blessed rest of the day and I will see you soon.

Something for Today

Hi people and HAPPY THANKSGIVING. What are you most Thankful for?  I would have to say GOD and FAMILY.  We don't always see eye to eye, but in the end that is who will be there.  Some days I sit around feeling sorry for myself, then I have to realize how very fortunate I really am.  Enough about me, what about you?  Please leave a comment about what you are thankful for.
I got a  new printer/scanner and I have not figured out how to crop yet so I hope my pictures are ok.  I have 3 cards to share with you.  I will be entering the first one in Outlawz Challenge, and SOC sister bloggers challenge.  It is a birthday card request from my neighbor.  The second card is a Thank You for one of  the ladies I craft with.   The third was a Make n take I made for our crop party.  I am so thankful that you are a part of my blog sharing and I appreciate you all.  Peace out.

SANTA AND SOME STACHES

Hey crafty people  Did you ever go to an all day crop, I am talking like 12 hrs., and come out of there thinking "what the heck did I get done"?  I spent my past Saturday at a crop and it seems like all I did was socialize and eat when all I wanted to do was work on my cruise pictures.  Oh well, at least I had fun hanging with some crafty people and I did manage to complete 5 cards.   LOL.  This first card is a very cute image by Robert Jackson (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com).  It is called Scrapping Santa.

These next two cards were inspired when I went to Walmart and saw a napkin with the sentiment.  Now, I have never been a fan of the stache until I saw that napkin.  I think it is kinda cute if I must say so myself.  Maybe I will stamp "let's do lunch" inside of these.
That is it for today.  Have a wonderful Monday

Happy Birthday Tonya

Today is my friend Tonya's birthday.  She is not here, but in heaven.  Breast Cancer took her from earth too soon.  She use to be one of my scrapping buddies and she was as addicted to this stuff as I am and I appreciated that.  I made cards to take to her mom today in celebration of this day.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONYA.  Your friends all miss you Girl.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next post.

It's Hump DaY

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great HUMP DAY.  I know I am.  I made a couple of cards just because and I watched a police sting go down across the street.  Boy, the simple things that excite me since I no longer work.  I need to get a life, NO wait, I have one.  My job is to be as crafty as I want to everyday.  That being said, I did just that today and made a couple of cards for friends.
Both images were found on the Internet and they just seemed perfect for what I was doing.  Once again Happy Hump Day and Be Happy, Be inspired.

GIVING THANKS

Hi folks, and happy Friday. Hope you are all ready to live for the weekend.  I do not have much planned except working on projects for an up coming  annual Holiday crop.  We do a card swap every year where we make one sample card then enough for everyone else to make it.  I must have been out of my mind because I just realized that my card has 14 pieces to it including the card.  Not difficult to make but lots of pieces
Ok, so I have two projects here.  The first is a BC card because I did  not get them all out last month.  A friend of mine has a house cleaning business so I made this for her

The second project is a tag/bookmark for one of my FB friends that is an avid reader.  I am entering it into a challenge over at http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/birthdaycard/forum/topics/greetings-card-challenge-november-4th-hold-your-place and also at http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/2010/11/november-2013-challenge.html
Thank you for stopping by today and see you soon.

BLACK GIRLS ROCK

Who watched the show last nite?  You know I did and I was truly inspired by all those beautiful black women.  Didn't Jennifer Hudson look great and what about Ms. Patti LaBelle.  I was so inspired with all the beauty, talent and knowledge that I had to post a challenge over at Scraps of Color in the Robert Jackson digi group.  You are to make a card, Layout or altered project using one of Robert's images that is inspirational or positive and in some form, ROCKS.  I did mine after the show last nite.  The first one is a Birthday card for my daughter.  The other one I chose because I liked her confidence and afro.  Hope you like.  Peace out my friends.

HALLOWEEN

I almost missed making a card for one of my favorite holidays.  I love Halloween but I feel like it came to fast this year.  I had better get started on my Christmas cards so they can get mailed this year.  :)  Anyway, I will be entering this card over at http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/forum/topics/greeting-card-challenge-oct-28-anything-goes?groupUrl=birthdaycard&groupId=6356543%3AGroup%3A669&id=6356543%3ATopic%3A695353&page=3#comments since I missed the last one with pumkins.  This one is an Anything goes.  Happy Halloween my friends.

Last of the Facebook card giveaway

Wow, I am moving right along with these posts.  A few weeks back I offered cards to several of my Facebook friends just for responding that they wanted one.  I completed all of them but two before I went on vacation.  The last two are for 2 crafty people that are also on Scraps of Color.   One is a male who had caught the crafting bug a few years ago.  As I look back to when he started, he has grown so much. Well, I hope they like the cards I chose to make for them.  Till next time.

Breast Cancer Month

Hello again.  I am back with the rest of my cards that I sent out for Breast Cancer Month.  It is almost over but I might try to make a couple of more.  I really like doing these but did not get as many out as I usually do.  This is in part because we did not have the Breast Cancer Challenge over at Scraps of Color like we usually do and get names of people who are survivors.  I also got thrown off a bit because I was gone the first part of the month.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my cards as much as I do.  Thank you and come again.

Pink Pink Pink

Hi fellow crafters.  Today I want to share with you a couple of project I did using pink.  The first one is a card I make for someone who requested that I use the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Opera House.  Well, I do not have images like that so I had to improvise.  I used a black and white image from the net for the bridge and on the back he had a special message for his favorite cousin.  I used a Robert Jackson image for an "opera" singer. I cut a San Francisco city scape with my Silhouette if you can see it in the second picture.   Oh well, it was the best I could do.  The card is a side step card.

This next project is for one of Scrappy friends over at Scraps of Color who is a Breast Cancer Survivor.  I found this plaque at the dollar store  knowing darn well I did not want that ugly picture on it.  I used an image from Scrapbook Stamp Society and BC paper and lots of bling for this.  The little angel says " Angels watching over you".  Thank you again for checking my blog out.

OH SNAP---I AM GOING TO SCRAP

Hi good people.  Those that know me, know that I rarely do any scrapping even though that is where I started.  A few years ago I fell in love with card making and left my scrapping behind.  I promised myself that I would scrap my latest cruise pictures so they will not be just sitting around like the rest.  Wish me luck in finishing them, but I started with two pages anyway.  I only printed about 55 pics and plan to put as many on a page as possible.  I have not got the trendy bug of  Project Life and such so it is old school for me.  Thank you for looking.

ROBERT JACKSON BREAST CANCER CHALLENGE

Over at Scraps of Color, there is a challenge going on in the Robert Jackson digi group.  You have to make a project using one of his images for breast cancer month.  Now, the best part of this is that you also have to send that card or project out to a SOC friend or a personal friend to brighten their day.  I love Breast Cancer month and try to send out as many cards as I can, but I am behind this year since I went on vacation and had other commitments.  I will do what I can and if I forget you, blame it on my head and not my heart.  I know so many of you are going through or have gone through it already and just knowing someone thought about you could make your day.  Stay strong and continue to fight like a girl. My project is an altered note book for a friend.  The inside cover has a pocket with a book mark.   Peace out

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR. DIVA

Hi folks, just want to share a card I made for one of my best Scraps of Colors friends, Ms. Vivian Bolden better known on SOC as Dr. Diva.  I don't know about the Dr., but she is a DIVA.  Anyway Happy Birthday my friend.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Oh and by the way, this card is gonna be late, but I hope you see the love I put into it.  The front image is a self image of Vivian by Robert Jackson.  The card is a vertical stair step card. The inside image was found on Pinterest.  Ok, so are you gonna go try this one and make it yours?  I sure hope so.  Thanks for stopping in.

Triple Easel Card

Hey Folks, it has been awhile since my last post.  Let's see, oh yeah I was headed to a cruise.  You ask "how was it?"  Fabulous Darling, just fabulous.  Got to hang out with some old and new Scraps of Color friends and lots of friendly folks along the way.  Maybe you can go too for the next one in 2015.
OK, time to get back to doing what I love best and that is crafting.  I found this cute card on Pinterest called a Triple Easel card and thought I would give it a try.  My goal is to try all the cards I have pinned sometime this year.  This was made for a lady who said she needed a birthday card for her sister/best friend.  I don't recall who makes this image, but I thought it would be appropriate for her.  I cut the fence with my Silhouette and the grass and vines are Memory Box dies. I made a matching envelope with my Envelope Punch Board.  Thanks for taking the time to look.

CLASSYGIRL CRUISIN' -BON VOYAGE

Ok folks, I am so totally excited.  As lots of you know, Classygirl over at Scraps of Color has coordinated a Scrapping Cruise and guess who is going?????  Now this is not my first cruise, but it is my first scrapping cruise.  I am just excited to be meeting some of the ladies that I have chatted and shared photos with over the last 6 or 7 yrs.  I will be traveling with my sister and meeting up with two other ladies that I had the pleasure to meet before.  I don't know how much crafting I will be doing, but I sure know I am gonna have some fun.    I started by making some traveling gear to sport while on the cruise. (I made a smaller pair of ear rings as those are BIG)  I also made myself a  blinged up visor and a name plate for my table out of a picture frame.  I will miss you all for a few days, but I will be back with stuff to post.  Hugz and see you later.
