Sunday Best

Hi everyone, I have been making cards and eating and socializing for about 8 hours now.  We had shredded beef, beans, potato salad, veggie plater, quacamole, chips and salsa.  For drinks we had wine and Eegees (frozen drink)  My sister hosted her first crop party so kuddos to her.  Here are two of the cards I made.  One is for my dear friend Robert who just lost his father.  May he rest in peace.

The second card is for a challenge over at Scraps of Color called Sunday Best.  We are required to use one of Robert Jackson's  "Come Sunday" images.  I am also entering this one in http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/ as they also have a challenge requiring us to use one of Robert Jackson's "  Come Sunday" images.  I hope you like what I did as much as I did.  Thank you friends for stopping by and please come back again.

Birthday cards

Well, it is almost the weekend and I can't wait.  Not because I don't have to go to work,  as I am retired.  My sister is having a crop party on Saturday and I am looking forward to that.  Hopefully I can complete a few projects I started and did not finish.

Here are a couple of cards I did complete for a friends twin sisters.  See ya next time.

Ok, it is late and I am very tired so let me get right to it.  The first card is for the Robert Jackson Digi Group over at Scraps of Color.  It is our Girlfriends Challenge image #4 which is Toni Childs.  She was somewhat of a self proclaimed DIVA.  I really had fun with this one.

Next is another Robert Jackson image that I gifted to Princess over at http://papercraftingparadise.blogspot.com/.  I gifted her the image but I had to make her a card first.  Happy Belated Birthday Princess.

My last card is one I created for Friday nite Challenge over at Scraps of Color.  It was called Brown Sugar Baby.  We had to create a project using brown as our focus color.  I am gonna enter this over at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog. http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/   It is an anything goes.  Thank you for stopping by and letting me share.

Morning crafters.  I know it is early but I am getting ready for Breast Cancer Month.  Over at Scraps of Color Ms 007 (Chantelle) hosts a BC Awareness Inspiration Campaign each year.  One of the things that we do is make ATC's to send to our members who are Fighting or Survivors.  I personally like to send cards each week to my family and friends during October.  I lost a scrappy friend this past April and I have a sister in law who is a Survivor.  I also have a few SOC friends that I would like to include in my card sending this year.  That's it for now, hope to see you soon.

Challenge cards
Today I have created two cards to post in challenges.  I had alot of fun with these because (1) I like Halloween and (2) I like the color orange.
This first card is a cute little Halloween Bear designed by Sandi Huggett over at Outlawz.  This is for the Creative Freebie Challenge http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/cfc/forum/topics/creative-freebie-challenge-september-9-23

The next one is for Paper Craft Planet.  The challenge is called Orange you glad it is fall.  I used the Friday Freebie Pin up Teacher.  I might also submit this is the Paper Craft Planet Bling it on Challenge.  http://www.papercraftplanet.com/forum/topics/fabulous-freebie-friday-9-14-12-and-challenge?groupUrl=sassystudiodesigns&groupId=2076575%3AGroup%3A551449&id=2076575%3ATopic%3A2158731&page=2#comments

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous day.

Oh my it is almost time for those goblins and ghost.  I love Halloween and always have.  It is not just for kids anymore.  I love to dress up and go out or just dress up to greet the kids. I see it as a time I can be silly and be someone else for the day and no one cares.  Anyway, back to my post---I am entering this into  the BrownSugar Challenge Which is Tags and Bags and the sponsor is Sassy Studio. http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/.  Thanks for stopping by and see you next time.

Howdy and Blessed Sunday to all.  Today, since I live in the Wild Wild West, I am posting a couple of Thank you cards I made for a friend to give to her co-workers.  The images are out of an illustration booklet that she gave me.  I don't know what it is about a rugged cowboy that attracts me, but I found these two very comical and had to do them.  Maybe it is because my dad was an original Black Cowboy from Willcox, AZ and his dad owned a ranch.  Yep that is where I get my love for cowboys.  Anyway have a loveley day and thanks for stopping by.  Entering Thank U into http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

Girlfriends Relay Challenge #3

This is a Robert Jackson Digi Group (http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/) Challenge over at Scraps of Color.  This week we are featuring William Jerome Dent.  How he became a girlfriend is beyond me, but hey what do I know.  My William is pretty hip as you can tell by the sharp blue suit he is wearing.  Have a good Saturday everyone.

Just a quick shout out to my girl Alice B http://alicebrowncreations.blogspot.com/.  She just had a new grand baby last week and she is tickled pink over her Princess.  Go over and take a look at this precious gift.  Peace out.

Welcome Monday and I pray you all are having a good day. I had a fun weekend making a few cards, going down town for activites and cooking dinner for my family on Sunday.
Todays cards are one for a Birthday that I found on You Tube called a Triangle pop up card.  I had fun learning this one but still did not get it just right.  I think next time I do it I will use heavier cardstock for the base.

The other card is my entry into Brown Sugar Challenge.  It had to be sports related.  I am not that much into sports but I thought I would give it a go anyway.  Have a nice rest of the day and thanks for stopping by.

Happy weekend and I hope you all have some fun things planned.  The most excitement I get these days is finishing  up a new card or something crafty.  Hummmmmm guess I am getting old and easy to please.  Anyhow, todays project is Girlfriends Challenge #2 over at Scraps of Color -Robert Jackson Digi Group) featuring Persia White as Lynn Searcy. The image is by Robert Jackson of course, and the only requirement was to have a border punch on the project. Have a good day

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Hello crafty people.  Today is the start of a new challenge over at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/.  Today's challenge is Altered Art and the sponsor is My Heart Pieces.  For my piece I chose to make this little pocketed mini.  It is made out of one 12x12 piece of paper and whatever scraps you want to use to cover it and make tags.  I made this one for a friend and have stamped friend verses and added pictures to the tags.  The cute friend images are by Robert Jackson  http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/of course.  Please go by and play if you get a chance and thanks for stopping by.

Hope everyone is having a very blessed Sunday. It is a blessing to wake up every morning and know that someone loves you.  Amen. It is a plus to be able to get in some crafting also.

I worked on some more Birthday cards last nite since everyone seems to be having one lately.  The first one is an image I got from I brake for stamps.  She looks hard but she must be sweet if she is serving up the cake.  The second one is a Belated Birthday.  The inside says "Just sittin' here chillin' and forgot your birthday.  Better late than never"  TFL

ROBERT JACKSON GIRLFRIEND CHALLENGE

Good morning and Happy September everyone.  Todays card is in honor of our Girlfriends Challenge going on over at RJ Digi group in Scraps of Color.  This is a five week challenge based on the the tv show Girlfriends which revolved around four Afrcan American women and one male from different walks of life.  You had to have participated in the Song Challenge to be eligible for this one  and must post each week to recieve the next image.  The first image is of Maya Wilkes (Golden Brooks).  Robert did a nice job on this image.  http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/. The twist on this one is that you have to use a paper clip since Maya was a secretary.  I used a round clip on mine.  Thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of the weekend.
