Wilona and Penny

Here is challenge # 2 of the Good Times relay challenge over at Scraps of Color. It is Wilona and Penny better known as Ja'net Dubois and Janet Jackson.  Wilona worked at a boutique and had adopted Janet's character Penny. The flower on the card was made by one of my SOC retired buddies, Yvonne Smith. Ok, I was short and sweet. :)  Thanks

A little bit of Jazz and a little bit of Country

Hi Bloggers, it is almost midnight here in Arizona and I am just now deciding to update this blog.  I have a couple of cards I made for other folks.  The first one is a request for a music teacher.  I chose a side step card because I like the space to embellish with.
This second one is a request for a horse, hat and boots as a Thank you for a cowgirl. It is made into an easel card.

Thanks for stopping in.

Crop Projects

Hi, I am  back with a couple of cards I made at a crop over the weekend.  Well, I really did not get much done for helping people, eating and having fun.  Anyway, there was a contest Make n Take card that everyone did to suit their own taste.  I could not win, but I surely suited my own taste for something wild.
I got you covered
and I got your back
This last one is a Birthday card using a Robert Jackson image.
Well, that is it for now.  Thanks for stopping by and come back again.

A BIRTHDAY WISH

Happy Birthday to my sister in law Edith Martin, My Scraps of Color friend, Princess Jones http://papercraftingparadise.blogspot.com/, and Anna Cruz.  I am so trying not to miss anyone, but sometimes I do so if I did, here's wishing you a Happy Birthday too.
All the images used are by Robert Jackson www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.  The pic of me in the Super Mary card for my sister in law, is one my brother had altered in photo shop about a year ago.  I like the afro and the little waist.  What?  a girl can dream can't she.

I appreciate you and thank you for coming by my blog.

GOOD TIMES

Hello, back with a card for a Relay challenge over at http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/, in the Robert Jackson Digi Group.  We did this last time with the characters from the show Friends.  This time we are using characters from the TV show Good Times.  How many of you remember this show?  Watch out now, you are showing your age.  The first image was given as a freebie compliments of Robert Jackson www.finearetsbyrobertjackson.com.  You are required to complete this image and post in the gallery to be eligible for the next character.  Anyway the first one is of Florida the mother and we had to use "Good Times" on the front of the card.  Here is what I came up with and I guess you know the inside says "I'll be on you side forever more, cuz that's what friends are for"  Thanks for stopping by.

ONE WOMAN CROP

Hi, it's me again.  I did not sign up in time for the monthly crop I usually attend and it was full when I did.  So last nite I put up my 8 ft table and decided I would have a one woman crop in the morning.  First I had a few things to do before I could get started.  I went to see The Butler with a few friends and I thought it was excellent.  After that we headed to the VFW for the monthly Coalition and did a few line dances.
Ok, enough excitement for this old lady.  It is time to do what I love best.  I am getting my Crop on right now.  I got my snacks and some wine and it is all good.  Here are a couple of cards I have completed.  Once again the images are by my favorite AA artist , Robert Jackson.
This first card is a shout out to my moms youngest sister on her birthday.  I thought she would get a kick out of this senior image.
A friend of mine from SOC shared her personal image with me and I thought I would share what I did with it with all of you.  If you get a chance, check her out at http://seraph1959.blogspot.com/. Hey Sharon, hope you like it.  Thanks ya'll for stopping by.

The next one is called " Girl got Nerve'.  This is for a friend in Phoenix.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope I have inspired you in some way.

One card Three Entries

Boy, I think I am on a roll here.  I have so many cards to make for others and birthdays that I thought I would "kill 3 birds with one stone."  This is a circle easel card of which it is my first one.  I had fun decorating it.  I will be putting this in the Scraps of Color Sista/Brotha Bloggers Challenge which is all about circles http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/events/sistah-brotha-blogger-challenges-2012-13.  Next I am entering into http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/2010/07/august-challenge-2013.html. It is an anything goes Back to School or Travel challenge.  Last, I am entering into http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com/ which is an anything goes.  The image is by Robert Jackson www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com. Request cards

Hi folks, not much today.  Just sharing a few cards I made for a lady requesting Breast Cancer cards and Speedy recovery.  She wanted the Speedy recovery to have a big hip lady with a little waist and kicking her feet up.  Unfortunately, I am not an artist and can only use what I have.  Enjoy and Peace Out.

Kiddie Birthday

Welcome back.  As you all know, I had some surgery on Monday and Tuesday I made this card for a friend's granddaughter.  She had left me a message on my phone stating she needed a card by Wednesday not knowing I had had surgery.  Well, I have always had a high tolerance for pain and woke up feeling pretty good on Tuesday so I got to work coloring.  I chose this Robert Jackson image because it was so cute and the recipient is 9 years old.  I do not make many kid cards but I just might start doing that after having so much fun with this one.  You all know that I have fell in love with step cards, so of course I had to use one again for this.  Don't you think they leave so much for the imagination to work with?  Anyway, thanks for stopping in and hope you enjoy this card.

THAT'S ALTERABLE- CIGAR BOX

Hi, I am back again today.  I wanted to do this post because I will be having some surgery tomorrow and wanted to have something in in case I don't feel like it the rest of the week. Asking for prayers in Jesus name for a speedy recovery and safe surgery.  Thank you in advance.

This post is something I am participating in over at Scraps of Color.  The challenge is called That's Alterable and as I mentioned before, each month is a different thing to alter.  This month was a cigar box.  I had never done one before but thanks to my sister Karen over at Still Young and Croppin' for giving me several boxes to work with.  I forgot to take a picture of the box before I started so I took a partially complete pic to start with.  This box smelled really good.  It took me a while to get motivated to do it, but I am pleased with the finished product.  Hope you like it also.  As always, thank you for your presence on my page.

HELLO SATURDAY

Hi people and happy Saturday.  Hope you are enjoying your day with family first and friends and if you are lucky with your crafty goodness.  I have not been too creative this week but did manage to do an ATC swap which required I only do 2 cards for some ladies over at Scraps of Color.  I surely have lost my ATC mojo and was trying to kick start it.  The theme was Christmas in July.  I love this Robert Jackson image. For you that don't know---an ATC measures only 3 1/2 x 2 1/2.

Next I made this card for a lady that requested a Howdy from Arizona.  Once again I used a Robert Jackson image.  The pp is by Paper Studio at Hobby Lobby and the burlap is from spare parts at Hobby Lobby also. Martha Steward border punch and misc embellies.

Ya'll come back now.
