Hello my crafty friends and those who just like to look.  Hope your day is going well.
I had a request for some birthday cards so I came up with a few that I want to share with you. I used a couple of Robert Jackson images, one borrowed from Pinterest and a Prima doll.  Thanks for stopping in my friends.

HAPPY RETIREMENT

Todays share is about a good friend I met over at Scraps of Color a few years ago.  Thanks to the internet for bringing this lady into my life.  She came to Tucson on my birthday 3 years ago to meet face to face.  It felt like we had known each other for years. The next year for my birthday my sis took us to Wichita, KS to visit her.

My friend, Senior Master Sargent Vivian Bolden has served our country for 26 years and today she is retiring.  I want to thank you and wish you all the luck as a civilian.  Congratulations and job well done.

TAKING IT BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL

Hi folks,  I has been a minute since my last post.  I have been busy working, but it is over til the next election in October. 
So, my post today is about rekindling High School friendships.  A few months ago I had made a comment about a picture that was taken at a 10 year reunion.  What resulted was one of my high school friends asking that we all get together in Glendale, AZ to have a somewhat reunion.  Three of them started on Wednesday, I drove up on Friday and Bernie came on Saturday.  So this is a picture of the ladies I hung with and partied with most of my high school years in Morenci, AZ.

This is Berlinda  who opened her lovely home up for us to meet, so great seeing her again after over 30 yrs.

 

Here are some more fun shots we took before Berlinda's son AJ made us a delicious stuffed pork chop meal.

Ok I know you are wondering where is the crafty part of this post???? Well, I wanted to give all of them a little something something to remember our weekend by, so I made Prima doll tags in our school colors with a little verse "You can never go back, but you can always start new"  I also added their names for a personal touch.   I know this is one of my longer post, but I really wanted to share.  Thank you for allowing me to do so.

 

 

 

 

 

MISSED THE DEADLINE

Hello everyone, guess it is time to post something new.  I started working a temp job at voter registration and I am finding it hard to get my craft on.  As a result I missed the deadline on my brother's anniversary, my Aunt Bertha (forgot to take a picture), Princess from SOC and my sister in law.

Needless to say I was a crafting fool, but better late then never.  I am entering my sis in laws card in a challenge over at SOC http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/forum/topics/august-2014-creative-challenge-sisterfriend?id=4098125%3ATopic%3A1290134&page=2#comments.  The image was drawn by Robert Jackson.  Anyway, Happy Belated Anniversary and Birthdays everyone and I love you dearly.

CARDS FOR TWINS

I was ask to make some cards for some twin sisters of  a friend of mine.  The birthday has already passed but she still wanted them to have one.  She saw an altered notebook that I had made and wanted me to use the same images on the cards.  They just happened to be Prima stamps.   Lots of work, but I have fun doing these.

This is the inside of the card.  The other card has the other twins name in it.  Hope you enjoyed viewing this and thanks for stopping in.

PRIMA DOLL CENTER PIECES

Been kinda lazy with my blog lately.  I use to post a couple of times a week.  Now I am lucky if I post every 10 days or so.  Oh well,  at least I do post.  Anyway---How you Doin'?  Just gonna share something I made last nite.  Yes, I am still loving my Prima dolls and take every opportunity to use them.  I volunteered to make some center pieces for a friends Crazy Hair/Head gear Birthday Party.  I chose Mindy because of her funky beehive do.  The vase is made from Starbucks Frappacino jars  decorated with paper and bling. Thank you for blessing my page and hope I have inspired you to have fun creating.

ALTERED NOTEBOOK

Hello, I am back to share something I have been working on.  I got this "Summer" Prima stamp a few weeks ago and could not wait to use it. It is kinda large so I opted to make an altered notebook with it.  It is my handmade gift to an old friend for her birthday in a few weeks. I decorated a few pages on the inside and added tabs just for fun.  Hope you like what I created as I really had fun making it.
