I was very saddened the day before yesterday to hear from an old friend that her husband had passed away. He was a very kind good man and will be missed by many. I do not have a stash of sympathy cards so I had to make something special for my friend. I found a very cute vertical step card on Pinterest and decided I wanted to try this. I like it and will do it again. What do you think? The image is by Robert Jackson (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson) and the verse was found online. Thank you for stopping in.

BC/THAT'S ALTERABLE
Hi folks, I am back again with another dual purpose project. I am playing along in a group called "that's alterable" over at Scraps of Color. Each month a different item is posted to alter. This month it was a notebook. Well, as you all know and if you didn't, now you do know that October is Breast Cancer Month. I love this month because I get to make cards and projects to send to anybody I know that has BC or is a Survivor. We usually do this over at Scraps of Color, but if they don't, I will still send out my cards. Last year I lost a very good scrappy friend and this year my sister-in-law. May they rest in Peace. I used Robert Jackson images for the cover of my notebook (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com) The inside cover has a pocket and holds a bookmark.. I hope I have the mojo and energy once I get back from my cruise to make a couple of more notebooks to send out. As always, I enjoy when you come by and comment.

BEAUTIFUL, GLAMOROUS AND BOLD
I was so excited last week while browsing the net when I ran across these two images. I had to have them and thought "Wow, these are so beautiful, glamorous and bold." They are so girly and I love that. They just needed to be colored up and glammed up with some bling and flowers, so I did just that. I hope you find them to be as pretty as I did. Thanks for looking.

Good Times Challenge #5
Well, this is the final Good Times image for the Challenge going on over at Scraps of Color in the Robert Jackson Digi Group. The requirement was only to have some string or jute and some metal. Last, but not least, it is James Evans the father of JJ, Thelma and Michael and the husband to Florida. I really enjoy these series challenges and hope we will have another one real soon. Thanks for looking.

ALTERED PAINT BRUSH SWAP
Hi people, just wanted to share with you an altered paint brush I made for a swap over at Scraps of Color. I saw this idea when I went to Viva Las Vegas in June and could not wait to start a swap on SOC. We had a choice of wild animals or floral and of course I was extremely happy that my partner wanted the wild animal theme because that is so me. We all started with a simple paint brush and went wild with paints, stains, ribbon, lace, bling, flowers and whatever else we felt it needed. Here is what I created. I hope that it inspires you to try one too. Thanks

Kiddie Birthday Cards
My daughter requested that I make her a couple of cards for her BFF's children's birthday party yesterday. I have not been in a card making mood lately and not feeling that well either so it took a minute for me to come up with something for her on Friday nite. I went trough some old papers a friend had given me and found some cute 5x7 pieces that I thought could work well and proceeded to color some Robert Jackson images of a boy and a girl. I added pockets inside as she was gonna give them money. I guess they are not that bad. Thanks for looking.

Good Times Challenge #4
This weeks Good Times Challenge over at Scraps of Color is about the Evans kids, Thelma, JJ and Michael. What you know about that? I have to say that Robert Jackson did a nice job with this image. It catches the essence of each character perfectly I think. Anyway this is what I got. I chose a family sentiment since that is exactly what it is. Thank you for blessing my blog.

ALWAYS A WINNER
Congrats to Serena Williams on her US Open Win. Because of this I felt inspired to use this Robert Jackson (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com) image. Serena will always be a winner, so I felt this would make a great friendship card for someone you admired. Hope you like the image and what I did with it. Thanks for stopping by. Yep, short and sweet.

RANDOM FRIDAY NITE CHALLENGE
I feel like I am slacking here and not posting like I use to. There is a reason for that, I think. I am getting excited about going on the Classygirl cruise in a few weeks to the Bahamas and Florida. This is the Classygirl that is the moderator of Scraps of Color, so I will be meeting some of the wonderful ladies that I see and chat with online.
Ok, enough about my trip, let's get to the new post. I posted a challenge over at Scraps of Color in the Friday Nite Chat Group. Anyone that ask for a free image of Robert Jackson's before a certain time would get one. The catch is that it has to be posted before midnight Sunday. Here is what I came up with for mine.
I am also gonna do double duty with card and enter it here http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/2013/08/september-challenge-lace-and-flowers.html. See you next time.

Bookman
Ok I am on to challenge #3 over at Scraps of Color Good Times Challenge. This week it is the lazy superintendent Bookman who is also known as Buffalo Butt Bookman and Booger. I decided to use him as a Birthday card since I usually need one anyway. The inside of the card says "and have a great time on your Birthday. This image and all the images used in this challenge are created by Robert Jackson www.fineartbyrobertjackson.com. Thanks for stopping in.
