Hi people. Hope all is well with everyone. I kinda been in a mood for love since Valentines Day. After making several wedding cards for the first time, I kinda like the elegance and romance of them. Which leads to my next project which is an altered $1 Michael's picture frame. I love working with these unfinished wood frames. The possibilities are unlimited as what you can create with them. Of course you know my favorite is Afrocentric but I have to go with the flow sometimes. My neighbor requested that I make her a wedding frame, so here goes my first attempt at making one. Thanks for stopping by.

MORE EXTENDED LOVE
Hi Scrappy People. I am still making cards for the Robert Jackson Challenge http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/ over at http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/. After making the first wedding card for one of my moms church members, I realized I needed to make one for my daughter's cousin who is getting married in 3 weeks. Her colors are black and lilac. I think is came out pretty nice and I think she will like it.
Robert mentioned that it was his Anniversary this month while commenting in his Digi Group at Scraps of Color. Since I was in an "Extended Love" mode, I made a card for him and his wife also. Happy Anniversary my friend.

Robert Jackson Digi group Challenge.
Hey folks, over at Robert Jackson Digi group on Scraps of color, I am hosting a challenge called Extended LOVE. The idea is that Valentines Day is over, but people continue to be in love all year long. Someone is getting engaged, married or having an anniversary everyday. The challenge is to use one of Robert's images to make a wedding, shower or anniversary card. You must have flowers and bling on the card. If you are a member of Scraps of Color, please consider joining in. I do not make wedding cards and recall making only one since I started making cards so this was intimidating for me at first. After I got started I totally enjoyed the experience. I liked it so much I am gonna make another one for my daughter's cousin who is getting married next month. Gonna do an anniversary one too. I hope you all like what I came up with. As always, thanks for stopping in.

TWO THINGS
Hello everyone. I finally found some time to do some crafting this weekend after a Friday nite comedy show, Saturday at the Gem show and Sunday hanging at Micheal's and Ross. I love when I have time to myself to just sit and craft. The first thing I did this weekend was a birthday card for one of my Scraps of Color sisters. Just wanted her to know how special she is and that I appreciate her. The cute image is a freebie by someone named JadeDragoon.
The other project I made was for a good friend of mine that really likes Asian art and items. We don't always see eye to eye but in the end, she always has my back. I meant to give it to her for Valentines Day but did not have it completed. It is an altered frame I got at a Family Dollar store. I added an image I colored by Sherri Baldy and also some bling on it. I love some bling. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Happy Valentines day my scrappy friends. What will you be doing to spread the LOVE today? Being single on this day is not always fun, so I have to create my own kinda fun. I decided to create projects for my family. A few weeks ago I posted the candy caddy I made with a Dove soap box and a matching card. Last nite I got busy and made my daughter a treat box using an old A7 envelope box. I decided to leave the flap on and use it to add the card I had made her during Friday nite chat over at Scraps of Color. I filled it with lip gloss, socks, blinged headband, blinged earrings and candy. Next I created a treat box for my sister using an old wheat thin box. I put a few sheets of bling, dark chocolate (her favorite) and some Lindors white chocolate. Can you tell I like animal prints? Anyhow, I am also having them all over for dinner too. We all like menudo and tamales. Thank God we have Mercado stores here. What? You thought I was gonna slave over a hot stove. Not this chick, I got crafting to do. Have a great V-day all and thanks for stopping by.

It's almost Here
Just one more day til Valentine's Day. Tell me single folks, what do you do on this day and is it a pleasant time for you? Being single myself, I try to be as positive as I can and do things for the people I love most like my daughter, mom and sister that lives near me. I have made goodie projects for them and will invite them over for a Valentine dinner. Love isn't always about being in LOVE.
I am so done with making V-day cards. I sold 18 ordered cards and made about 15 others. I need a V-day break now. Anyway, here are the last of the cards I made. As usual, thank you for taking the time to stop by.

THAT'S ALTERABLE
I am still playing in the "That's Alterable challenge over at Scraps of Color. This month we were to use a toilet paper roll to make something with. I chose to make party favors since I was co-hosting a Valentines Day Brunch this past Saturday. I covered my tissue rolls in V-day papers and embellished with bling, hearts, lace and trims. I filled each one with tissue paper and filled with candy. Who would have guessed that a simple toilet paper roll could make a nice treat. Thanks for stopping by. Peace out.

HELLO KITTY PLUS 1
Hello, hope everyone is having a great week. As for me I have been feeling a bit sick and also extremely tired. I think I have over extended myself this week as I have to complete 15 cards for other people, host Friday Nite Chat over at Scraps of Color ( have to create and make the projects for 3 challenges) and I am helping my friend host a Valentines Brunch on Saturday morning which requires that I make a few things. Anyhow, enough about me.
Here are two of the cards I completed. One is a cricut cut that was given to me by WrinklefreeDiva over at Scraps of Color. My niece loves Hello Kitty so this is for her. I think I will enter this into Mema's Crafts dollie challenge http://memascrafts.blogspot.com/2010/01/february-challenge.html. The other is an image called School Boy by Robert Jackson http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/new-digital-arrivals.html
Have a great day and peace out.

THE BLOSSOMS
I must be a glutton for punishment. I don't know why I am up at 1a.m. in the morning doing this post, since I am so tireeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesd. Anyway, I thought I should announce the winner of my frame from the post dated 1/22. Random.org picked # 13 which was Princess Jones. Congrats Princess and I hope you like it as much as I had fun making it.
Now, for something new. I created two cards using images by Sherri Baldy https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=329634347153720&set=a.113644002086090.15087.100003214730981&type=1&comment_id=27519641#!/sherri.baldystamps
The first is Cherry Blossom and the other is Rose Blossom. The are from her Besties collection. You would think I have given up my Afro style with all the Asian images I have been enjoying. NOT. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
