Well folks, this is it for the cards I made while on vacation. My posts will not be back to back anymore unless I get real creative and have to make stuff. You never know when crafty will hit you. Have you ever had a thought and got up at 5 or 6 in the morning because you were afraid you would forget it? I do that sometimes and I pay for it later since I am a night owl.
Any how, my last two card are images by my favorite African American artist, Robert Jackson, www.fineartsbyrobrtjackson. The inside of the first one says "Get over it". Thanks again for following and peeking in on me.

MORE STUFF
No, I am not done yet with all the cards I made on vacation. I have never felt so speedy keeping my blog updated with new stuff :) as I have this week.
My first card is one using a Robert Jackson image (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson) called Lil Model. I really like the card done up pretty in pink.
Next is a cute image by Sherri Baldy called Divalious. She is so cute and classy. I chose to make this a side step card and she wobbles.
Ok, my last project is a little something different that I stole from my girl Dr. Diva. She had made some cute refrigerator magnets with my pic on them for me. I loved the idea and thought what cute little fast gifts this would make. So, I created some for my girlfriend who celebrated her birthday a day after mine. Forgive the glare and thanks for stopping by.

More images by Anji
Here are a few more of the cards using Anji's images http://anjisantics.blogspot.com/. I am late posting and I want to go watch Tyler Perry's " Love thy Neighbor" so right now I will leave you with Love. Thanks for stopping by.
This first card was made for a SOC sister who I was suppose to meet up with in Wichita, but she had a death in the family so we made cards for her instead and will mail them.

More Cards from Witchita
Ok, as promised I am posting more of the cards I made while visiting Dr. Diva in Wichita. The two cards for today are images by Robert Jackson http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/index.html. I really had fun with these because they allowed me to have fun with my silliness. Imagine being 60 and silly, go figure. The inside of the James Brown (what ya'll know about that?) card says "Have a good Birthday". The second card surely everyone remembers this Eddie Murphy character. It is an easel card. Hercules, Hercules. Later.

Birthday Crafting in Wichita, KS
For my big 60 birthday, my sister treated me to a trip to see one of my favorite Scraps of Color friends Viv http://kinkybella1.blogspot.com/, in Witchita, KS. We met online at Scraps of Color about 4 yrs ago. She is crazy just like me and we hit it off. Last year she surprised me for my birthday and came to Tucson to see me. Anyway, we had a funfilled 4 days of card making. I will be sharing a couple everyday till I am done. We worked on a lot of Anji's from http://anjisantics.blogspot.com/ and Robert Jackson images http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/. Hope you enjoy as much as I did making them. Happy Memorial day and thank you to all the brave men and women out there.

IT'S AN ANJI THING
Hi all, does everyone here know who Anji Pearson is? Well, this is her link http://anjisantics.blogspot.com/. I love coloring images of women and Anji has some pretty fun ones that she has been kind enough to share on her blog.
I just had a wonderful Birthday Tea party for my 60th (not until 5/23 officially) and I decided to use one of Anji's latest lady images for a couple of my thank you cards. The base of the cards were made from some scraps that were given to me and it looks like they were bought at a yard sell. I don't care, there were some fun pieces in there. Anyway I hope you like them. Peace out.

Robert Jackson's Friend Challenge
Over at SOC (Scraps of Color) http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/, there is a Robert Jackson http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/ challenge going on. The theme for this challenge is Friends. Since it is my closes friend's birthday a day after mine, I chose to make her a Friends birthday card. I pick this Robert Jackson image because last year I used his Girls Gone Wild image for her card. I thought it would be fun to use Girls gone Wild 2 for this year. I made it a center step card since I find these to be fun to make. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Cowboys and Natives
Got a request from my neighbor for a birthday card for her very long time cowboy friend. She was very pleased with this card and said it was just perfect for him. It is a center fold card and I had a lot of fun making it. I will be entering this into Outlawz Greeting card challenge http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/birthdaycard
Next I had someone ask for a birthday card for a Navajo lady who was very traditional. Now, this was really a challenge for me because I do not have any Native American images. It is not my best work, but I thought it would work. I had a feather stamp and an Arizona stamp and I worked around this by adding some turquoise and silver with an Indian Blessing.
Well that is all for now. I want to send out some prayers for my scrappy friend Dr. Diva. I will be traveling from Arizona to Kansas on my birthday next week to spend some fun crafty time with her. Thanks for stopping in folks and know that I appreciate you.

NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY
So yesterday was National Scrapbook Day and I love to pretend it is a real holiday. I invited my scrappy friends over for a stress free, fun and food day. I actually made BBQ on buns and pasta salad for them with other snacks. So my post today is a picture of the group and a couple of projects I completed for NSBD over at Scraps of Color http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/ . Both images are by Robert Jackson http://www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/. The card is a request from my brother. He wanted to give two of his coworkers a Mother's Day card that I made. How sweet is that The lay out is from a Tea Party I attended a week ago. We were to use one of Robert Jackson's images on our page. Thanks for stopping in. Peace out

THAT'S ALTERABLE
Over at SOC (Scraps of Color) I am participating in a challenge called "That's Alterable". Each month a different item is posted to alter. This month it is a frame. Well, this was right up my alley since I love altering those $1 frames from Michael's. I am planning a Mother's Day Brunch with my sister and we are making frames for the oldest and youngest mother. I have completed mine and so I will share it with you. I usually am really over the top with texture and bling, but since it was for an older mother I toned it down. See you next time.

Mother's Day Order
I got a request via FB for cards. One of my FB acquaintance's from Texas has started ordering cards for his wife and family members. He wanted Mother's Day cards for his wife, mother in law and his daughter. He even gave me sentiments to put on the inside. How sweet is that to think enough of them to get hand made cards. I worked on his all day today since they have to be mailed and I want them to get there in plenty of time. Hope you enjoyed what I did and thanks for stopping by.
