Happy Retirement
Happy Monday everyone. If you had to chance to stop by over the weekend for the SOC Bog Hop, I thank you for taking the time to let us share with you. I really enjoyed creating projects for the hop. I will announce my winner of the Robert Jackson images on Wednesday along with the main prize winner.
Today I send my Congratulations to a long time friend and ex co-worker Brenda Musgrove, who just retired on this past Friday. I hope she enjoys her retirement as much as I do mine. I will be taking her to dinner this evening along with a few of our mutual friends and co workers. My creativeness was in over time when I started making this center step card for her. Nothing like just adding as you go. Ok so here is what I ended up with and I like it a lot. The image is by Robert Jackson and the banner is a Memory Box dies. Thank you for stopping in. Peace out.

CENTER STEP CARDS
Hi everyone. Ok, so I hope you are not getting tired of me and my step cards because I am so liking them right now. I find that I can get as creative as I want to with all the different areas to decorate. The first one is for a dear scrappy friend over at Scraps of Color, Ms. Alice H. She loves the color purple and she also loves Winnie the Pooh. I hope I have captured both of her loves to her liking. Happy Birthday Ms. Alice H.
The next two cards I made for my neighbors granddaughters. One is gonna be eight and likes purple/green and girly. I used a Saturated Canary image for this one. The other one is gonna be 15 and is in to the computer and techie things. The image for this is a Robert Jackson image. Thank you for blessing my page.

For my wine drinking crafters
Hi people. Just thought I would do a quick post for my crafty friends that like to have a little wine with their creating or any other time. Make mine White Zinfandel, Mascato or better yet some Asti. Image is by Robert Jackson, of course. Thank you and I like when you stop by.

Sistah/Brotha Blogger Challenge
Over at Scraps of Color I am participating a bloggers challenge group. This week we were to create something using Black and white plus one (one pop of color). Here is our inspiration piece.
Here is mine done in a step card form. These are becoming one of my favorite things to make since they leave a lot of room for being creative. I used a Robert Jackson image on this (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com) Thanks for stopping by.

Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays
Wow, it seams like everybody and their mother are having a birthday this month. If I forgot yours, please forgive me as I am trying to not forget those near and dear to me. For instance a lady who I worked with and have been friends with for over 20 yrs. I don't see her much since I retired, but we make it a point to remember our birthdays by going out for hot wings and a drink. . I used a Bugaboo image for her card.
Next is another friend I met on Scraps of Color and have met up with a couple of times in her home town of Las Vegas. I made this card using a Robert Jackson image. She has a short blondish afro so it reminded me of her.
Last is a card I made for a friends sister as she requested. Her Sister is a minister so she wanted something appropriate. This is also a Robert Jackson image made into an easel card.
I thank you for stopping by and you are always welcome here.

Random Friday Nite Challenge
Hi my crafty friends. Today I am posting a little something I made as a birthday card/gift. It is also being used in a Challenge I posted over at Scraps of Color. Every here and there on a Friday nite I give away a free image (with permission). All you have to do is create something with it and post to the gallery. The image is one I had Robert Jackson www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com make for me. It is a crafting friend who is having a Wedding themed Tea Party for her Birthday this Sunday. The base is a CD that I punched a hole with my cropadile and added a ribbon. I plan on also using the image to make her some address labels. Thank you for stopping by.

A Church Birthday and a Thank you
Hi crafty friends. How's your Saturday going? Anybody doing anything fun and creative? I have been real busy this week working on all the darn birthdays, anniversaries and a blog hop I joined. I can't even get into Christmas when it is this hot in Arizona but I joined a Christmas in July blog hop over at Scraps of Color starting on 7/26. Come check it out if you get a chance.
Ok, back to my today's posts. The first card is an easel card. Image by Robert Jackson (www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com) It was a last minute request from my mom to make a card for one of her church members who is having a party today. I always have time to make something for my mom. She is so cute, she tried to pay me for it.
Now this other one is a circle step card. It is the first time I tried one of these. It is a thank you for my brother who was so kind to send my daughter some gambling money for Vegas. I loved this Robert Jackson image as it was just perfect. Thank you all for stopping by and come back soon.

Delta and Blues
Hi Crafty folks. Back again with a couple of cards I made for a lady who orders every year for her two daughters. She wanted one to be a Delta card and the other daughter likes the color blue so this is what I went with.
This first card is a Tri fold card and I added the dates to show that Delta is celebrating 100 yrs this year. Image is by Robert Jackson. www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com

The next card is a center step card. I think I am really liking to do these fold and step cards. Leaves lots of room to be creative. This image is also by Robert Jackson.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you to try one of these cards in the near future. I would love to see what you do with it. Peace out

Multi Media Art and a Tag
Over at Scraps of color http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/ I participated in Friday nite chat where one person hosts and gives out challenges to whoever wants to play. One of the challenges was to make a card using paint, distressing, newspaper and stamps. I took a piece of white card stock and stamped the image on it first. Then I painted around it with purple glitter paint. I colored the image with copic markers and paper pieced the hair with newspaper. Edges of the card were distressed with powder puff chalk ink. Last I matted it with a nice matching print paper. Here is my end result
My next Scraps of Color Challenge is in the Robert Jackson (www.fineartbyrobertjackson.com) Digi Group. The challenge was to make a tag using a Robert Jackson image and add bling, Ribbon and glitter.

IT'S GOOD TO CRAFT
I made two cards today and boy did I need that craft time. Feeling a little stressed and tired from my Vegas trip and kinda jonesing to make something. I always feel better when I can be creative because it helps me unwind and go somewhere all by myself. Ya'll know that feeling? Oh yeah---Keep Crafting Alive.
This is a Robert Jackson image www.fineartsbyrobertjackson.com. Birthday card for my older sister. Kinda got carried away with all the stuff but hey it is my canvas.
This is also from the Robert Jackson collection. It is a just because card for one of my motorcycle mama friends over at Scraps of color. Thanks for stopping by.
